I have tried many things in life, having been a baseball player then a lawyer and then fell into the international modeling world as well as TV commercials. I was fortunate enough to have lived 15 years in NYC, Paris and London as a model traveling the world and have had such a wonderful experience and did advertising campaigns for clients such as Armani, Ralph Lauren, Burberry to name a few. I also became the face of Gillette commercials in the 1990's as well as the notorious shirtless window washing Diet Coke guy in TV commercials. During this time, while shooting with the likes of photographers Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Victor Skrebneski, Matthew Rolston, I was constantly watching them and their lighting and creativity. What a photography lesson it was!

I now live in Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills with my wife, Danielle. I have been acting in TV, Films and Commercials and some of my recent credits include Nancy Drew, Californication, CSI NY, CSI Miami, 90210, Lexus, Cadillac, Chevy, and many more. I am also producing TV shows and films, and my first drama project, entitled Chess, has been bought by Showtime and should start airing in 2012. It is unique twist to the ever-popular tale of the Mob, where one woman rises to power within the crime family with steely determination and ruthlessness, while still raisng her kids and stirring the pasta. Also, I am currently writing and producing another project, entitled The Life of Gregor, which is based on the successful DirecTV commercial entitled Opulence. It is a TV comedy about a mega-wealthy, politically incorrect Russian businessman who moves his family to Beverly Hills, where he finds himself juggling his child-rearing skills, his homelife and his business interests with the celebrity and judgement that surrounds his entourage and family.

Lastly, photography has always been a passion in me. I started taking pictures when I was in high school. Periodically, I would pick up the camera and found myself lost for hours in the art and sensuality of creating something from what I saw. I have experience both in front and behind the camera, and I think that gives me something extra to give back to the everyone in the entertainment business here in Los Angeles. I have shot many actors, models, casting directors, producers and corporate executives. I am so grateful to all of the talents out there who have given me the opportunity to photograph them. It is a collaboration where we both give and the photographs are special and powerful....”Confidence With Approachability”. Best, Robert Merrill
